Presented by Paul Hovagimian from HYVE Design
Monday 30th March

Is Your Site Flood-Affected? What Every Architects Needs to Know

SPUN invite you  for an informative and practical seminar that unpacks flood constraints and approvals—so you can design and submit with confidence.

In this seminar, you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify whether your site is flood affected
  • Understand Council requirements for flood control lots
  • Determine whether a CDC or DA submission is applicable for flood-affected sites (including key questionnaire considerations)
  • Interpret flood mapping and confirm flood status accurately
  • Understand the difference between 1% AEP and PMF
  • Apply key architectural design considerations for flood-affected sites
  • Know when a CDC can be pursued on a flood-affected site

Whether you’re at concept stage or preparing an application, this session will give you clear guidance, practical insights, and the confidence to navigate flood controls effectively.

Don’t let flood constraints catch you out—learn how to design smarter and submit with certainty.
