ABOUT THIS EVENT

SPUN CPD SESSION | DESIGN FOR PERFORMANCE

What happens beneath the building — and above your ceiling — matters.

Join SPUN Architects Network for an evening of practical CPD designed to sharpen your technical knowledge and help you make better-informed design decisions.

We’re bringing together two highly relevant topics that every architect and designer should have on their radar:

💧 BS 8102 | WATERPROOFING BELOW GROUND

Basements and below-ground structures can be some of the most challenging elements to get right. This session will unpack the principles of BS 8102 and explore how waterproofing decisions should be considered from the early stages of design.

You’ll learn about:
→ Understanding BS 8102
→ The key variables that affect design
→ Different waterproofing system design options

🏠 WARM ROOFS | DESIGNING FOR THERMAL PERFORMANCE

A roof is more than just a finish. Discover how a warm roof system works and how thoughtful detailing can improve thermal performance while managing condensation risk.

You’ll learn about:
→ What exactly is a warm roof system
Thermal performance & condensation management benefits
→ How to effectively design and detail a warm roof system

🎓 CPD | PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE | NETWORKING

CPD questionnaires will be provided for both presentations, with presentation materials supplied on USB so you can take the information back to your practice.

Whether you’re an architect, graduate, designer, builder or consultant — come along, sharpen your technical knowledge, meet fellow professionals and SPUN your network.
