Professional Oblivion?
Monday 26th August 2024
Join SPUN and Tony Kemeny Online only event
Professionals have seen an erosion of their status for some time. To many, the trend appears to be accelerating. Some of this has been self-inflicted, some a result of societal change and some technological. This presentation will explore what identifies us as professionals, what challenges we face and what opportunities we have to better navigate a sustainable way forward in order to retain our relevance in our ever-changing times.
‘True Professionals … are always more than technicians. They should be people of discernment, empathy and probity, capable of winning the trust of their clients. The quality of a person’s character is the real hallmark of professionalism – coupled of course with the requisite knowledge and skills.’
Why professionalism matters more than ever. Robert Beaton, May 2022
