Come and join us for the personal journey in architecture with Alec Tzannes.

ABOUT ALEC TZANNES :

Alec Tzannes is the founding Director of TZANNES, an architecture and urban design practice. He has served as Dean of UNSW Built Environment and is now an Emeritus Professor. TZANNES is recognised by more than 100 local, state, national and international awards in architecture, urban design and industrial design. 

In 2014 Alec was made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to architecture, as a practitioner and educator and through professional organisations.

In 2017 UNSW honoured Alec’s achievements with the degree of Doctor of the University honoris causa.

In 2018 he was awarded the Australian Institute of Architects’ Gold Medal. The Gold Medal recognises distinguished service by architects who have designed or executed buildings of high merit, produced work of great distinction resulting in the advancement of architecture or endowed the profession of architecture in a distinguished manner.

He is a current Director of the Judith Neilson’s Charitable Foundation for Dangrove, the Director of the UNSW Foundation Board, and the Chair of the Australian Institute of Architecture Foundation Board. 

In 2019 The Hellenic Union of Eptanisians honoured Alec for his contribution to architecture and academic endeavours. He is a dual citizen of Australia and Greece.

7:00pm - 7.30pm         Dinner served at tables;

7:30pm - 9.00pm         Speaker’s presentation Architecture, a personal journey by Alec Tzannes       ( 90min’s ) includes a short Q & A at the end;

9.00pm                         Conclusion of evening

For everyone's safety:

Do not attend if you are feeling ill, or if you have had any flu like symptoms in the 14 days leading up to the event

No mingling before or after the event - please sign in and find your seat

Dinner service:

Plated main course with tea & coffee will be served, no buffet

Dinner will be two alternating dishes (served at alternate seats each so you can swap if required)
